How the pricing table works

Thing promised, thing due. Nothing announced at the beginning of the month that a taste of the experience of its smartphone would be given by means of an application launcher. The application has been released quietly on the Play Store and you can now install it. Please note that it is only available on a few models. The Google Pixel 5 and 6 as well as the Samsung Galaxy S21 and S22 are affected. The firm indicates that OnePlus smartphones will be able to benefit from it soon. For our part, we have experienced it with a Samsung Galaxy S22.

minimum duty

The Nothing Launcher (Beta) application therefore allows, as its name suggests, to install a theme on their phone that reveals, at least in part, what the Nothing experience will look like on their upcoming smartphone, the Phone ( 1). Alas, for the time being it does not bring anything very crispy. By substituting the Nothing theme for your phone’s main theme, you’ll get a new wallpaper, an original (rounded) icon design and a few widgets. They are three in number and obviously take up the aesthetics of Nothing, with a dotted typo as well as the association of red, black and metallic gray colors.

The theme is installed from the Applications tab present in the settings.

That is just about everything. The first opinion that we can give you is very thin, insofar as we had the right to hope to benefit from a completely different experience from the rest of the smartphone fleet. But as it stands, Nothing’s interface looks quite similar to what OxygenOS offers, with round icons or a fairly distinctive font. Let’s wait for possible updates of the application before the release of the Nothing smartphone, which will undoubtedly clarify a little more the experience promised on the Phone (1).
